Dog Biscuits

Ingredients

Makes 25 to 50 individual, bite-size treats, depending on the size of your cookie. I used a shot glass to cut out the cookieswrks4me_terry_tested-11

  • 2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2-3 eggs (depending on how to the dough holds together)
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C),
  2. Put all ingredients into a food processor is possible and pulse til all mixed.
  3. Roll out dough and use a small cookie cutter or as I used a shot glass to cut out cookies
  4. Place on a cookie sheet (I use one with a silicon pad)
  5. Bake for 30-40 minutes
  6. Allow to cool and put into a airtight container

Feed one to Fido as a treat only

Cheerio Bars

Ingredientswrks4me_terry_tested-11

  • 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup of peanut butter
  • 4 cups of Cheerios™ (I use Multigrain Cheerios™)

Directions

  1. Place semi-sweet chocolate chips and peanut butter in a large microwave save  bowl and heat at 30 seconds at a time until chips are melted
  2. Pour over the Cheerios™ and mix until completely coated
  3. Spread the mixture into a parchment lined pan (or pre-buttered). Refrigerate until chilled and cut into bars and serve

Enjoy

Options: You can use other varieties of Cheerios™ or Cheerio type cerials, such as Chocolate, Gluten-Free, Honey-Nut

This is a simple recipe that the kids would love to make.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups of chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoon of butter (add more if necessary)
  • 2 cups of salted pretzel sticks

Directions

  1. Chop pretzel sticks into bite size pieces
  2. On top of a double boiler, melt chocolate and butter, stirring often.
    (You can also use a microwave to melt chocolate)
  3. Take pot off the stove and add pretzes
  4. Spoon onto a lined baking sheet and refrigerate for 20 minutes until firm

Options:

Peanut Butter Cow Chips

  • 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 2 cups of salted pretzel sticks
  • 1 cup of salted peanuts
