    1 Green Cabbage (about 2 lbs.)

  • 3/4 cup finely shredded Carrot (add more if you’d like)
  • 1 1/2 cups Sugar  (or 3/4 sugar and 3/4 Splenda or other sweetener substitute)
  • 1 1/4 cups Vinegar
  • 1 cup Oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon Salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon Celery Seed

Shred all of the vegetables into a very large mixing bowl. The quantities will go down when you add the dressing. The thinner the shredding the better.

Put sugar (or sugar/Splenda), vinegar, oil, salt and celery seed into a pot and bring to a boil. Pour over cabbage and carrots.  Coat thoroughly. Refrigerate overnight
